About
the Riverwalk
The Riverwalk is a place where families can gather to
celebrate, laugh, picnic and be together. The purpose of
the fountain area as a part of the Fredenhagen Park is for
strengthening family memories, which supports and sustains
strong families.
Supporting families is central to the Exchange Club's
mission.
The
Exchange Club Memories Fountain is located in Fredenhagen
Park, which is on the northeast corner of Washington Street
and the DuPage River. It was donated by Rita Harvard and
her brother, Ted Fredenhagen, to the city of Naperville to
be developed by the Riverwalk Commission.
To
support Naperville families, a group of volunteers,
including the Exchange Club, are working together to raise
funds to support the development of Fredenhagen Park. The
Park serves as our community's gateway to Naperville's Riverwalk, including a clock tower, a gazebo, a building,
and a fountain at the park's center.
